Bonus points for getting stuck 20 feet from my garage...

Ugh - this happened to me back when I was DDing my E46 (in an alley less than 20' from my garage). And it’s also the scenario that makes me worry when I think about going back to RWD only for a DD.
Did you get a push I hope?

Yeah, I remember my days living in Chicago proper and having a garage off of an alley. That alley was shared with a church though, so it *did* get plowed eventually.

Today I got to watch a few Mercedes Service employees spend about 90 minutes trying to help some guy in a Lincoln Town Car get out of his parallel spot in front of our house.

I was out earlier today to let the S8 have some snow fun. I basically plowed my street for everyone else because my car sits so low. But got some killer snownuts at the local school parking lot. Excellent got over 8” before I headed out, and then a couple more on top of that once I got home. Much more fluid n to drop be in when you don’t have to be anywhere.

There were a few harrowing moments in the Miata this morning in the way to work, but it was more fun than anything. Even dropped the top.

Moving one of the 2wd trucks 100 feet into the shop to put winter tires on at work yesterday (we got about eight inches) I got stuck to the point of rocking no less than three times. Only needed pushing once, in the drift three feet in front of the shop door. The tires they put on fleet trucks are garbage and they should be ashamed.
